irish whiskey

Irish Whiskey was a popular bar located in Washington DC

Irish Whiskey’s distinctive bar program offered an extensive list of over 50 whiskey brands, more than 50 beer selections (with a focus on craft beers), whiskey flights, and a Members-Only Whiskey Club. To maximize the delicacy and experience of each whiskey, the venue carries an ice machine shipped directly from Ireland that creates the perfectly shaped ice cube for opening up and revealing each whiskey’s full character.

Enticing whiskey enthusiasts with an extensive list of whiskey’s, Irish Whiskey features a Members-Only Whiskey Club that encourages members to work their way down a list of notable whiskey brands giving members the opportunity to try ones they may have never thought to experience before. Added incentive also includes a trip to Ireland that will be awarded once a year, drawing from the list of members who have completed the whiskey list.

By incorporating a modern flare, the Wooden Nickel Bar Company opened Irish Whiskey Public House with a mission to capture the essence of a traditional Irish public house while adding creative and progressive elements. Irish Whiskey brings the nation’s capital a three-floor cosmopolitan public house featuring an exciting and distinctive bar program, an outstanding full menu of modern Irish American Cuisine, and a unique architectural design interior that exudes the true flavor and charm of Ireland with a contemporary twist.

The Design of Irish Whiskey

Working with designer Maggie O’Neill of O’Neill Studios to incorporate creative decorative statements, Irish Whiskey Public House’s design features barrels, brass, patterns, and plaid elements, providing a modern space with a traditional theme. O’Neill integrated the fundamentals of the Irish culture through her aspects of design creating a fresh and innovative version of a traditional pub.
